Bega Valley Shire Council are inviting community members to apply to join their Access Committee.
The Bega Valley Shire Council Access Committee is a formal committee of Council and meets every 3rd month. The Committee operates as an advisory and working group and assists Council by:
- developing strategies, to reduce barriers and increase access to Council premises and public buildings within the Bega Valley Shire;
- providing advice and recommendations on council policy;
- liaising with key stakeholders throughout the shire; and
- making recommendations to Council on matters relating to access issues as defined by the Disability Discrimination Act.
