Cruise Eden Co-Ordinator Natalie Godward has been meeting with several major stakeholders in Sydney recently with some very positive feedback.
Nat has been working with Sapphire Coast Tourism Manager Anthony Osborne on developing a draft Cruise Strategy with detailed five year plan and budget. The draft was recently presented to the Port Authority of NSW and as a result, the Port Authority have agreed to provide significant funding to Cruise Eden for the next three years. This will ensure Nat can continue in the role and build a strong rapport with these important contacts.
Separately, Nat has negotiated further funding from the Department of Primary Industries for collateral for the next two years, including a Port Guide (with fold out map), Destinations Guide (for passengers to take home), postcard, stickers and a website. Stay tuned as businesses will be offered advertising space in the Guide in the near future.
More recently, a meeting with Member for Bega and Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Andrew Constance, Royal Carribean and Destination NSW, and discussion with Crown Lands about the proposed amenities building, has continued to build momentum for this exciting project.
